According to a new survey, the average woman spends nearly $45,000 on her hair over the course of her lifetime.
Hair costs an average of $703 per year between trips to the salon, coloring, shampoo/conditioner, styling products, and accessories.
The average American woman lives to age 81, so over the 63 years of adulthood, she will spend an average of $44,300.
Blondes spend the most, spending an average of $51,000, while brunettes and redheads spend closer to the average.
The vast majority of women, 83%, said the money they spend on their hair is worth every penny.
