A blind woman has filed suit against the nudist community where she lives because she was told to get rid of her service dog or move out.
Sharon Fowler suffers from leukocytoclastic vasculitis, which caused her to go legally blind. To assist her, she got a service dog named Laura, a black Labrador.
Fowler claims she told management at Paradise Lakes Resort about Laura when she applied to live there. The community has a rule that all dogs must be under 25 pounds, but Laura's application was approved even though she exceeds the weight limit.
Management claims Laura is "out of control," and Fowler said she has been asked multiple time to provide further proof that she is legally blind.
Why does Fowler not want to move away if she is not wanted? She said she likes the location, knows the area -- important for a blind person -- and when her children are not around, she likes to walk around nude in the sunshine.
