Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins is giving fans something to enjoy while they wait for the band's new music. He's announced plans to release the debut album from a new side project dubbed Birds of Satan.

The hard rock trio also features bassist Wiley Hodgden and guitarist Mick Murphy, who play with Hawkins in his cover band Chevy Metal as well. 

And for Birds of Satan's self-titled debut, the band is joined by special guests and Foo Members Dave Grohl and Pat Smear. 

The new record is due out April 15th, and is available to pre-order on iTunes now.
