Ozzy hopes Black Sabbath reunion will erase 'The Osbournes'

Ozzy Osbourne says the new Black Sabbath album means more than just the reunion of his legendary group.  The singer tells NME he's also hoping it will help restore his image.

He admits he still regrets having done the MTV reality series "The Osbournes," which brought viewers into his home and showed his family life with wife Sharon, kids Kelly and Jack, and their many misbehaving dogs.  It also changed his reputation from the scary, bat-biting heavy metal icon to the lovable, stumbling, bumbling dad.

Even though the series wrapped up its four-season run nearly a decade ago, Ozzy is still looking to put it behind him.  He says one reason he's excited about the new Black Sabbath album is that it sullies the memories of the show.

Black Sabbath's 13 is the group's first studio project with Ozzy in 35 years, and recently became the group's first chart-topping album in the U.S.
